Saint Philomena College Organised Guest Lecture on “Ekalavya – The Greatest Tribal Archer”

The Hindi Department of Saint Philomena College (Autonomous) Puttur, organized a guest lecture titled “Ekalavya – The Greatest Tribal Archer” at the PG Seminar Hall on Saturday.

The resource person for the session was Harsha K.P. Head of the Hindi Department at Heera Women’s College Mangaluru. In her address, she emphasized the importance of utilizing the knowledge we possess in the right manner. She highlighted that sharing knowledge with others is a noble act that ultimately leads to success. She further remarked that the flame of knowledge within us should always remain lit, guiding and illuminating our lives.

The Principal of the College, Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, presided over the program. In his presidential address, he urged students to awaken the spirit of Ekalavya within themselves. He stressed the importance of remaining humble and respectful about the knowledge one holds, cautioning against arrogance. He encouraged students to honour their teachers with sincerity and self-confidence.

The winners of “The Last Bell- The Murder Mystery” competition, organized by the Hindi Department were honoured. Dr Dimple Jennifer Fernandes, Head of the Hindi Department and Assistant Professor Dimple Tauro were present on the occasion. The event commenced with a prayer led by Madhura. Saba Ashfiya welcomed Ashlesh proposed a vote of thanks and Sanjana compered the program.
