Sushmitha Abhishek Awarded PhD from Pune University
Sushmitha Abhishek a native of Mittur in Bantwala taluku and presently residing in Pune, has been awarded a PhD from Savitribai Phule Pune University. She earned the doctorate for her thesis titled “A Comparative Study on the Impact of Government Financial Schemes on MSMEs of Pune District” under the guidance of Dr Komal Singh.

Dr Sushmitha is currently serving as a Professor in the Faculty of Finance at Indira University Pune. Her husband, Abhishek Devcharan Rao, works as a Commercial Manager at Emerson Pvt. Ltd.



Daughter of Vishwanath and Sashikala Amin, Dr Sushmitha pursued her primary education at Mittur S.H.P. School. She later graduated from Vivekananda College, Nehrunagar Puttur, completed her post-graduation at Mangalore University and went on to serve as a faculty member at Sri Rama College Kalladka and Yenepoya College Mangalore before moving to Pune.
