Konkani Catholic Lawyers’ Guild & Lay Faithful Commission Organise Pre-Christmas Meet in Mangaluru to Highlight Reflection on Interfaith Harmony
Leaders to Gather in Mangaluru to uphold Faith and Peace

The Konkani Catholic Lawyers’ Guild of the Diocese of Mangalore, in collaboration with the Diocesan Commission for the Lay Faithful, will host a special pre-Christmas gathering titled “At the Threshold of Christmas: Christian Witness in Times of Change” on Friday, December 5, at Saint Anthony’s Sambhram Hall, Jeppu, Mangalore. The event aims to reflect on the social and cultural changes affecting harmony among religious communities and to inspire participants to uphold peace and Gospel-based values. The programme will begin with refreshments at 3:30 p.m., followed by the main function from 3:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Dignitaries to Attend
Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrão – Chief Guest
The event will be presided over by Most Rev. Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore. His Eminence Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrão, Archbishop of Goa and Daman, and President of both the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India (CCBI) and the Federation of Asian Bishops’ Conferences (FABC), will attend as the Chief Guest. The Guest of Honour will be Rev. Dr Praveen Martis, SJ, Vice Chancellor of Saint Aloysius (Deemed to be University).

Event Hosts
The gathering is organised under the leadership of Adv. Sushanth C. A. Saldanha, President of the Konkani Catholic Lawyers’ Guild, Mangalore, along with Rev. Fr J. B. Crasta, Secretary of the Diocesan Commission for the Lay Faithful.


Adv. Saldanha expressed that the presence of the dignitaries and invitees would be a great encouragement and honour to the organisers. He extended a warm invitation to the community to join the programme and share in the spirit of Christmas, unity and reflection.
