Father Muller Deralakatte Campus Celebrates Christmas with Message of Harmony and Service
A vibrant and joyful Christmas celebration was held on the evening of December 17, 2025, at the Father Muller Deralakatte Campus. The programme was jointly organized by Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital (FMHMCH), Father Muller College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (FMCOPS), and Father Muller Homoeopathic Pharmaceutical Division (FMHPD) at the premises of the Homoeopathic College.






A. Gafoor, Chairman, Coastal Development Board, Government of Karnataka, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour, while Divya Satish Shetty, President of Kotekar Town Panchayat, was the Chief Guest. The programme was presided over by Rev. Fr Faustine Lucas Lobo, Director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions (FMCI).







Also present on the dais were Rev. Fr Donald Nilesh Crasta, Administrator, FMHMCH and FMCOPS; Rev. Fr Nelson Dheeraj Pais, Administrator, FMHPD; Rev. Fr Ashwin Crasta, Assistant Administrator, FMHMCH and FMCOPS; Dr E. S. J. Prabhu Kiran, Principal, FMHMC; Dr S. Satish, Principal, FMCOPS; Dr Girish Navada U. K., Medical Superintendent, FMHMCH; and Dr Vilma Meera Dsouza, Vice Principal, FMHMC.







The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Rev. Fr Nelson Dheeraj Pais. Addressing the gathering, Guest of Honour M. A. Gafoor appreciated the Father Muller institutions for fostering unity and togetherness through the celebration of Christmas. He highlighted the importance of peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and harmony in society, stating that such celebrations serve as exemplary platforms for social integration.














Chief Guest Divya Satish Shetty expressed her happiness at being part of the celebration and noted that Christmas festivities promote love, trust, and communal harmony. She also lauded the recognition of individuals who contributed to the medical camps and community outreach programmes conducted by FMHMCH, acknowledging their valuable service to society.






In his Presidential Address, Rev. Fr Faustine Lucas Lobo reflected on the teachings of Jesus Christ, emphasizing compassion, service, and mutual understanding. He remarked that the core values of all religions are similar and that celebrating Christmas together strengthens the foundation of a compassionate and inclusive society.








On the occasion, M. A. Gafoor and Divya Satish Shetty were felicitated on behalf of FMCI. Several contributors who supported the medical camps and community programmes organized by FMHMCH were also honoured in recognition of their dedicated service.

Adding to the festive spirit, the Christmas cake was cut by the dignitaries on the dais along with Dr Anusha G. Sanil, Cultural Coordinator, and Dr Ancy George, Cultural Co-coordinator, FMHMC. The cake was distributed to all present. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Rev. Fr Donald Nilesh Crasta. The formal programme was compered by Dr Nandan Krishna and Nishmitha, faculty members of FMHMC and FMCOPS, respectively.

The celebrations concluded with a colourful cultural programme featuring performances by students, faculty, and staff of the Father Muller Deralakatte Campus. The cultural segment was compered by Dr Chrisel Dsouza, MD Scholar, and Farah Mariam, II BHMS. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation and captivating performances, making the Christmas celebration a truly joyous and memorable occasion, reflecting the true spirit of love, peace, and togetherness.
