Kasargod Saint Thomas Church Kollangana wins varado cricket tournament
Kasargod, December 1: The varado cricket tournament organized by the Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Kasargod deanery concluded on Sunday, with Saint Thomas Church, Kollangana, emerging as the champions.
The championship trophy was presented to the winning team by Rev. Fr Louis Cutinha, director of the Kasargod unit and Parish Priest. Rev. Fr Vishal Monis, director of ICYM Kasargod deanery, Sr Severine, ICYM Kasargod deanery animator, Melwin Kayyar, president of ICYM Kasargod deanery, Neema Dsilva, secretary of ICYM Kasargod deanery, Nihal Sequeira, representative from Mangalore diocese to Kasargod, Richard Crasta, Vice President of Kasargod church, and executive members of ICYM Kasargod deanery were present at the event.
The captain of the Kollangana team, Shailendra, along with his teammates, received the trophy. Kenneth Dsouza from Kollangana was named the Best Bowler, while Rakesh Dsouza was awarded Man of the Match in the finals. Melvin Crasta was honored as the Man of the Series.
