Annual Day Celebration at Maryvale Higher Primary School Kinnigoli
Maryvale Higher Primary School, Kinnigoli, celebrated its Annual Day with great pomp and splendor on 13 December 2024 bringing together students, staff, parents and well-wishers under the theme “Together in Harmony.”
The celebration began with the grand welcoming of the President Rev. Sr Lilly Pereira BS The Corporate manager of Mangalore Province accompanied by the dignitaries Rev. Fr Joachim Fernandes Parish Priest of Immaculate Conception Church Kinnigoli, Chief guest – Steevan Pinto, Chairman of NIPM Mangalore, Guest of honour- Sr Premlata, the superior of Maryvale Convent, Rachel Joslin Mathias, Critical software engineer UK, Vishal Rachh, Prasad Book Distributors, Mangalore, Rev. Fr Lancy Saldanha, The Principal of SMCS Kinnigoli, Sr Jecintha Dsouza, Headmistress Maryvale High School, Kinnigoli, Sathish Saldanha, PTA Vice President, Sr Manisha Rodrigues, Headmistress Maryvale Higher Primary School Kinnigoli escorted by the school band. The melodious beats and synchronized rhythms of the band set a vibrant tone for the evening.
The event officially commenced with a heartfelt prayer song, invoking blessings and setting a reverent atmosphere. This was followed by a graceful welcome dance, performed by the students, extending a warm welcome to the esteemed guests.
The School Annual Report was presented highlighting the school’s achievements and progress during the academic year. The report showcased the students’ accomplishments in academics, co-curricular activities and community engagement, underscoring the school’s commitment to holistic development. The President appreciated the school’s dedication to nurturing values and talents in students. Awards and prizes were distributed to students who excelled in academics, sports and other extracurricular activities, acknowledging their hard work and dedication.
The highlight of the evening was the cultural program, where students from all grades took the stage to showcase their talents. The performances included mesmerizing dances, skits and songs, all beautifully aligned with the theme of harmony and unity. A thought-provoking skit depicted the power of peace and harmony. while folk dances celebrated the diversity of Indian culture.
