Y.C.S. Convention – 2025 held at Moodbidri Deanery
The Y.C.S. Convention of Moodbidri Deanery was held on 29th June, 2025 at Alangar Holy Rosary Church under the leadership of Rev. Fr Deepak Noronha, Y.C.S. Director of MDB Deanery.







The day began with breakfast followed by a inauguration at 9:45 by Very Rev. Fr Onil Dsouza vicar Vara from Moodbidri Deanery. Chief guest Rev. Fr Melwyn Noronha, Parish Priest of Holy Rosary Church Alangar, Rev. Fr Roshan Dcunha YCS director Manglore diocese and Varado Animator Reshma Lobo were present on the stage.







The convention highlighted the importance of YCS in building leadership, faith and social responsibility among the youth. There was an anti-drug session to create awareness about the harmful effects of drugs and to encourage students to choose a healthy lifestyle. A group discussion was held on the anti – drug session in which students shared their opinion. Another insightful session on sacramental marriage by Rev. Fr Alwyn Dsouza helped us understand the spiritual meaning and commitment involved in the sacrament of marriage. The event was a well-organized and enriching gathering, attended by enthusiastic youth participants from across the deanery.










In the evening instructions were given on the election process. The election process was conducted smoothly, followed by a Group photo session with the newly elected Office Bearers of the academic year 2025- 2026.

The day concluded with YCS anthem. The convention was a successful platform for learning, leadership development and youth engagement. 262 youth, 15 animators and three Priests participated in the event. Rev. Fr Roshan Dcunha the YCS Director from mangalore YCS and his team members conducted the whole programme successfully.
