Daijiworld TV’s Tulu Comedy Hit ‘Private Challenge’ to Celebrate Landmark 200th Episode
Daijiworld Television’s immensely popular Tulu comedy show Private Challenge is all set to celebrate a historic milestone with the telecast of its 200th episode on Sunday, August 10, at 9:00 PM IST. The landmark episode will be broadcast on Daijiworld TV and will also stream simultaneously on YouTube and other social media platforms.
Launched on May 18, 2020, amid the Covid-19 lockdown, Private Challenge was created by renowned Tulu actor and stage performer Aravind Bolar, alongside Daijiworld Media founder Walter Nandalike. What began as a limited-run series designed to entertain audiences during the pandemic quickly transformed into a global sensation, thanks to the overwhelming response from viewers.
Over the course of four successful seasons, Aravind Bolar has brought to life 200 unique characters, each one thoughtfully crafted to represent the rich culture, lifestyle and professions of Tulunadu. This remarkable range of characters, combined with sharp, witty storytelling, has attracted not only Tulu-speaking audiences but also a growing number of non-Tulu viewers around the world. The show’s immense popularity is further reflected in its 30 million+ views on YouTube, making it one of the most-watched Tulu comedy series online. In addition to its television presence, Private Challenge is also available for streaming on major OTT platforms such as MX Player, Vi (Vodafone Idea) and Hungama.
The widespread appeal of the series has taken the Bolar–Nandalike duo to international stages for live performances and guest appearances.
