Ashawadi Prakashan’s Silver Jubilee Awards Declared
Late Denis DCunha Kinnikambla Memorial Best Konkani (Kannada Script) Transliteration Book Award has been conferred upon “Nirvasit Yatrichi Bhounddi” — a collection of poems by Shailendra Mehta. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 25,000 a citation, and a memento. The presentation will take place during the Silver Jubilee Celebration of Ashawadi Prakashan on Sunday, December 14th at the MCC Auditorium, Mangalore.
Noted journalist Avil Rasquinha will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award for his exemplary and value-based journalism. Bernad J. Costa, Clara Arun, Wilson Dsouza, Christopher Ninasm, Samson Lopes Honnavar, Rohit Sanctus, Glanish Martis Alangar and Ramona Evette Pereira are among those selected for honours recognizing their distinguished service in the fields of Drama, Tiatr, Literature, Art, Social Work and Dance.
