SJEC’s Nikhil A. Poojary to Represent India at International Yoga Championship

Saint Joseph Engineering College (SJEC) Vamanjoor has added another feather to its cap with the outstanding achievement of Nikhil A. Poojary, a second-year student of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML), who has qualified to represent India at the International Yoga Championship to be held in Thailand in September 2026.

Nikhil earned the honour following his impressive performance at the WFFYS Indian National Yogasana Sports Championship 2026, held at COER University, Roorkee, Haridwar, from June 26 to 28. Competing against talented Yogasana athletes from across the country, he secured First Place in the Artistic Solo Yoga Championship and Sixth Place in the Traditional Yoga Championship.

His exceptional performance has earned him a place on the Indian team for the upcoming international championship, marking a significant milestone in his sporting journey. The Management, Principal, faculty, staff and students of SJEC congratulated Nikhil on his remarkable achievement and extended their best wishes for his success as he prepares to represent the nation on the international stage.
