SCS Hospital Conducts Health Screening Camp for Fire & Emergency Personnel
SCS Hospital organized a comprehensive preventive health screening camp for Fire Safety Officers and personnel of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) at the Fire & Emergency Services Office, Pandeshwar, Mangaluru, with the objective of promoting preventive healthcare, early disease detection, and the overall well-being of frontline emergency responders.

The camp was inaugurated with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Mahmed Zulfikar Nawaz, District Fire Officer, in the presence of Shalini S. Rao, Medical Superintendent, SCS Hospital, and Raghavendra Singh, General Manager, SCS Hospital.

Addressing the gathering, representatives of SCS Hospital emphasized the importance of regular health assessments for Fire & Emergency Services personnel. They highlighted that periodic screenings help in the early identification of potential health issues, enabling timely treatment and ensuring that emergency responders remain physically fit to perform their demanding responsibilities efficiently.

The health camp offered a wide range of medical services, including general health check-ups, blood sugar screening, blood pressure and vital signs assessment, Body Mass Index (BMI) evaluation, Electrocardiogram (ECG) screening, physiotherapy consultations to assess mobility and occupational strain, and personalized diet and nutrition counselling to encourage healthy lifestyle practices.

The initiative received an enthusiastic response from Fire Safety Officers and SDRF personnel. The medical team from SCS Hospital successfully screened numerous participants and identified several health concerns requiring further evaluation and follow-up care.

The health screening camp reflects SCS Hospital’s continued commitment to community healthcare and its dedication to supporting the health and well-being of frontline emergency responders. It also reinforces the hospital’s efforts to strengthen its association with the Fire & Emergency Services Department and establish itself as a trusted healthcare partner for emergency service personnel.
