Milagres Church Annual Feast Celebrated with Devotion and Joy
The Annual Feast of Our Lady of Miracles Church, Milagres, was celebrated with deep faith, devotion, and festive spirit on Sunday July 5th. The occasion was marked by two solemn Eucharistic celebrations attended by a large gathering of parishioners and devotees.
The first Solemn Mass in Konkani was celebrated at 7:00 a.m. by Very Rev. Fr Walter Dsouza, Parish Priest of Bendur and Vicar Forane of the Episcopal Deanery. In his homily, he reflected on the loving protection of Mother Mary and encouraged the faithful to become instruments of God’s love by sharing compassion and kindness with others.
The second Solemn Mass in English was celebrated at 8:30 a.m. by Rev. Fr Kenneth Crasta, Assistant Director of Saint Joseph’s Engineering College. Speaking on Mary’s motherly care and intercession, he urged the faithful to strengthen their relationship with God by following her example of faith, humility, and obedience.
At the conclusion of the celebrations, the Parish Priest Rev. Fr Ivan Michael Rodrigues, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all the Priests, Parishioners, volunteers, benefactors, and well-wishers for their generous support, dedicated service, and active participation in the life of the parish throughout the year.
The Eucharistic celebrations were concelebrated by Rev. Fr Avith Pais, Rev. Fr Alwin Serrao, Rev. Fr Uday Fernandes, Rev. Fr Gerald Pinto, Rev. Fr Maxim Rosario, Rev. Fr Victor George, Rev. Fr Jason Pinto, Rev. Fr Felix Monteiro, Rev. Fr Rajesh Rosario, Rev. Fr Praveen Amrith Martis, and Rev. Fr Charles Menezes.
The feast concluded in an atmosphere of prayer, thanksgiving, and joyful fellowship, reaffirming the spirit of faith, unity, and commitment among the parish community.
