Spandana of Saint Philomena Autonomous College Secures Silver, Advances to National Weightlifting Championships

Puttur : In a landmark achievement for Saint Philomena Autonomous College, Spandana II BSC has clinched a silver medal at the South Zone Inter-University Weightlifting Championship for the 2024-25 season. The event was held at Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, Andra Pradesh, under the auspices of the Association of Indian Universities, from November 26 to November 28, 2024. Her outstanding display technique not only earned her a podium finish but also a spot in the upcoming National Level Inter-University Weightlifting Competition. The college community, including the Very Rev. Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas, the Correspondent of the College and Principal Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, along with faculty members and students, have extended their heartfelt congratulations to Spandana.
